Oro

The symbol of flowering botanicals is a beautiful symbol of our vintage wine, whose vintage depended on what the earth gave for that season.

The idea of peeling back or shedding layers to reveal the truest nature of something is universal, both in the plant and animal kingdom - and in the human psyche.

Plata

The symbol of a flowering botanical is a beautiful metaphor of our vintage wine, whose brilliant nature depended on what the earth gave for that season.

The resulting full expression of one's true self is therefore more valuable than silver or gold, and just as nature's flowers demonstrates — is far more beautiful than the safe and guarded shell it was once in.

Mata

In Filipino popular culture Oro or "Gold" and Plata or "Silver" is the desired object of a counting game, with Mata or "Death" in the context of "Chance" to be avoided.

Dig a little deeper and Mata is spiritually more connected with the meaning of "Harvest", as in what the season's harvest gave to man, by way of crops for his toil.

Made by

Born and raised in the agricultural provinces of the Philippines, then migrating to Australia in the late 1980s.

Our wine maker has always been passionate about exploring the intersection of culture, place and taste.

Perfect with

CHARDONNAY :: Enjoy with steamed white fish or pan fried shell fish. Suggest with prawn noodle soup or fried yellow noodles. Pairs well with turmeric and galangal based curries, and seasonings of garlic, chilli and soy.

ROSÉ :: Enjoy with South East Asian salad dishes. Try spiced Asian vegetables or tropical fruits in the season of Summer. Ideal with pork dishes and fish with red meat.

SHIRAZ :: Enjoy with marinated meats with soy, chilli, peppers, onion and garlic as key seasonings and flavours. Flavourful meat-based meals with luscious umami flavours.
